Blackpool have announced the signing of defender Jordan Williams on a season-long loan from Championship side Portsmouth.
The 26-year-old arrives at Bloomfield Road under Ian Evatt, who takes on his first full season hoping to reinvigorate the club after a turbulent few seasons.

In His Prime
Williams came through the Huddersfield Town academy after joining the club at nine, and also picked up two England Under-18 caps along the way. He made his senior debut in the EFL Cup against Rotherham United before heading out on loan to Bury, where he got his first taste of regular football.
He then joined Barnsley in 2018 for an undisclosed fee on a four-year deal. Williams went on to score his first senior goal against Manchester City Under-23s, and Barnsley later confirmed he would be released when his contract expired in the summer of 2024. Since joining Portsmouth in 2024, he has made 41 appearances and scored one goal.

“I’m delighted to be here. After speaking to the manager on how he wants to play, it was a no-brainer for me.”
