As the season enters its final weeks, the title race has been blown wide open. Second-placed MK Dons stunned leaders Bromley with a crucial victory, narrowing the gap at the top to just four points. In the play-off places, neither side could find a win, leaving the battle for seventh spot even more tightly contested as the chasing pack senses an opportunity. At the bottom end of the table, Newport County ignited survival hopes with a vital win over Harrogate Town, leaving both Barrow and Harrogate rooted in the bottom two and now four points adrift of safety.

GK – Ryan Boot – Chesterfield
In what was a tight affair in Derbyshire, which saw Chesterfield play out a 1-1 draw against struggling Tranmere Rovers, Boot proved to be a saviour for the Spireites, showing a commanding presence in between the sticks, denying Tranmere’s Omari Patrick from the spot and pulling off numerous vital saves.
RB – Joe Thomas – Newport County
It’s safe to say it’s been a tough season in South Wales for Newport County, an important win against relegation rivals Harrogate Town proved vital, with Thomas showing his class on the right-hand side of Christian Fuchs’ team, providing a second-half goal to snatch the points whilst impressively winning all duels he faced.
CB – Robbie Cundy – Cheltenham Town
The 28-year-old has been in and out of the Robins team this season. Saturday’s 4-0 demolition of Walsall showed why he has been in the team of late, with an outstanding and comfortable defensive display whilst also providing an assist for striker George Miller to seal an impressive win on the road for Steve Cotterill’s side.
CB – William Boyle – Shrewsbury Town
The former Wrexham man has been an ever-present for Shrewsbury Town this season in what has been a below-par season in Shropshire. A tight 1-0 victory over newly promoted Oldham Athletic showed Boyle’s quality in both boxes, pulling off numerous defensive clearances and grabbing a 30th-minute winner.
LB – James Gibbons – Cambridge United
A well-taken brace for the 28-year-old as automatic promotion contenders Cambridge United did a demolition job on fourth placed Notts County in a triumphant 4-0 win in a season which has seen Gibbons’ best return in front of goal in his career.
CM – Mark Shelton – Barnet
In what is proving to be a stellar season for the 29 year old which has seen him see his best season in front of goal with 16 goal contributions from midfield, Saturday’s 3-2 win against relegation-threatened Barrow saw Shelton assist Kabongo Tshimanga for the opener before scoring himself within ten minutes of the restart.
CM – Ben Wiles – MK Dons
A 2-1 win over table toppers Bromley proved to be a massive win for Paul Warne’s MK Dons team, Wiles was arguably man of the match from the middle of the park, providing a goal and strong tackling in the middle of the park.
LM – Harry Anderson – Colchester United
The former Lincoln City man has had his best return in front of goal under Danny Cowley this season. Friday night’s 3-0 win over promotion hopefuls Swindon Town saw Anderson score the third and round up a solid display from himself, taking his season total in the league to 10.
CAM – Callum Stead – Barnet
In his first-ever season in the EFL, Stead is showing no signs of being out of his depth. Saturday’s 3-2 win over Barrow reinstated this claim as he not only assisted Mark Shelton but scored his seventh goal of this League Two campaign in what has been an impressive season for Barnet thus far.
RM – Jordan Thomas – Cheltenham Town
The 24-year-old was man of the match worthy after Cheltenham Town’s 4-0 win over Walsall with the former Bath City man assisting Harry Ashfield, but it was his overall display down the right-hand side from attack to defence that was most noteworthy, working incredibly hard for his team.
ST – Andy Cook – Grimsby Town
The Bradford City loanee has had a positive influence since arriving at Blundell Park in January, and Saturday’s tight 3-2 win over fellow play-off hopefuls Crewe Alexandra proved no different, with the 35-year-old bagging a brace and assisting, taking his tally to six since arriving from the Bantams.
