Luton Town have turned back to one of their January targets in Luca Connell as fellow recruitment option Dylan Tait’s future remains in the air.
The Hatters have been tipped with a move for the Falkirk midfielder should he fail to agree a new contract with the Bairns, but face League One competition in the form of Plymouth Argyle.

Jack Wilshere’s side have begun their window planning with a focus on bringing in new midfield options, and have now been tipped with a move for a former target in Luca Connell.
According to Alan Nixon through his Patreon page, the Barnsley skipper is now back in the sights of the Kenilworth Road club, having failed to secure the 25-year-old in January.
A move was on the brink of completion, but the plug was pulled by the Tykes due to their inability to secure a replacement in time, keeping their club captain at Oakwell for the remainder of the campaign.
That led Town to make a loan move for Dutch attacking midfielder Davy van den Berg, who played 17 times for the club in their failed push to reach the League One playoffs.
However, Town may find it trickier to strike a deal this time around, with as-yet unnamed Championship sides also keen on making a move for the Irishman, having previously played in the division for Bolton Wanderers.
Barnsley are set for wholesale changes this summer after announcing they would be cutting their playing budget going forward and have already shifted one of their biggest stars in Davis Keillor-Dunn off the books following a deadline-day sale to Wrexham.

In the space of a few weeks, Luton Town could have already completed most of, if not all of, a midfield rebuild if luck goes their way.
Dylan Tait is just one week away from hitting the free agent market as his impasse with Falkirk continues, and with the transfer window officially opening in the middle of June, Town should move quickly to try and tie down Luca Connell amid Championship interest.
With Davy van den Berg heading back to Utrecht after a loan spell and 22-year-old Sverre Sandal not being favoured for regular minutes, Jack Wilshere is in need of some options to support key players like Liam Walsh and Jordan Clark in his ranks.
Getting Tait and Connell in would give them some of the best depth in League One next season, and if they are able to strike a deal for Kasey Palmer now that Hull City have been promoted to the Premier League, their options in the middle of the pitch could be the key to a title charge next season.
