Peterborough United have a recent act for signing talented National League footballers, and it appears that this summer could be no different.
Posh had a disappointing 2025/26 campaign in League One last season, narrowly avoiding relegation out of the division having finished 18th and losing half of their league matches.
The club wasted little time in announcing their retained list, confirming several exits including midfielder Archie Collins, whilst others including Cian Hayes and Chris Conn-Clarke were transfer listed.
With that confirmed, attention for the League One side can turn to the 2026/27 season as they aim to get their quest to return to the Championship back on track.

Peterborough have welcomed several National League stars to their side in recent years, from success stories like Jack Taylor and Ephron Mason-Clark to players that haven’t quite worked out like Conn-Clarke and Hayes respectively.
However, unlike previous years – it appears as though outfield areas aren’t the focal point of Peterborough’s latest National League rumour.
According to a report from journalist Alan Swann, Peterborough are interested in signing out-of-contract Southend United goalkeeper Collin Andeng-Ndi.
The 22-year-old is currently out of contract at FA Trophy winners Southend United, remaining in talks over the possibility of a move whilst interested parties also consider a move.

He kept 13 clean sheets in 35 league appearances in the National League last season, conceding just 34 goals as they made the play-offs but fell to defeat at the quarter-final stage to Scunthorpe United.
According to the report, Andeng-Ndi is being lined up as a possible second choice option to Alex Bass ahead of next season.
Is this the right career move for Andeng-Ndi?
Unlike outfield players, goalkeepers are slightly different in the sense of peaking at a later age and thus not necessarily being in a rush to be a number one.
Andeng-Ndi has been Southend’s number one for the last three campaigns and is still only 22, suggesting that despite his exposure to first-team football, he’s still developing his traits as a shot-stopper.
Southend are yet to sign a goalkeeper this summer, suggesting that if Andeng-Ndi were to stay at the club and sign a new deal, he would likely remain as the first-choice goalkeeper.
However, he could take a risk and join the League One side knowing that whilst his game time would be impacted, he would develop around better players and likely earn a bigger wage in the process.
Therefore, his next steps need to be the ones that he feels is the best for his career long-term. He could stick to what he knows and continue to develop in the National League or test himself at a higher level.
