Reading are set to collect £640,000 after agreeing a sale for Kelvin Ehibhatiomhan to join Danish side AC Horsens.
Royals manager Leam Richardson confirmed that they had accepted a bid for the striker to leave the club this window following their pre-season win over Woking, with Ramy Abou-Setta stating that a search is underway for a new forward.

Now, according to Danish outlet Tipsbladet, the identity of the mystery club has been revealed in the form of AC Horsens, who are set to pay €750,000 (£640,000) to recruit the 23-year-old.
Den Gule Fare, who were promoted to the Superligaen last season, have been active in searching the English markets for new striking options this summer after eyeing a £425,000 deal for Notts County’s Alassana Jatta.
A deal is set to be completed in the next couple of days, bringing to an end Ehibhatiomhan’s time at the club 12 months prematurely as Leam Richardson looks to depend on new options.
However, they have already been hit with an injury blow ahead of the season, with Jack Marriott set to be assessed shortly after his injury during the Woking game.
That leaves just Jacob Brown and youngster Sean Patton as their two senior options confirmed to be fit for the start of the season, with their campaign getting underway on the road at Bromley in the first round of the EFL Cup.

After managing to get back to his best after a rocky 2024/25 season, it looked promising that he could once again be a dependable option for Leam Richardson this campaign, so for him to be sold is an interesting decision.
While they could not have foreseen a potential injury to Jack Marriott, it now leaves Reading somewhat short of options, which should be addressed with a search already underway for a new signing.
Nevertheless, it is a good injection of money for the club to receive this summer and could end up contributing to another player’s recruitment, which could aid in the Royals’ efforts to return to playoff contention.
