Liverpool have allowed striker Keyrol Figueroa to move to Port Vale as they make final decisions on their youth academy stars.
The Reds have been waiting until late into the transfer window before making decisions on their youngsters, with Andoni Iraola opting to retain both James McConnell and Luke Chambers to be involved in his first-team plans.

One of those youth players is Keyrol Figueroa, who has been a regular in the club’s Premier League 2 squad, scoring 12 goals across 15 appearances in the competition last season.
That caught the attention of Honduras, who decided to scoop him up from the United States, where had been capped by the Under-20s side, and hand him his senior debut in any format with a June international against Argentina.
Now, according to The Athletic’s Liverpool correspondent James Pearce, Figueroa will head out on loan for the first time in his career to join League Two newcomers Port Vale.
It was reported yesterday that the forward had two offers in for him, with neither side interested in recruiting the 20-year-old named.
Jon Brady’s side have looked to overhaul their attacking options in the wake of a poor season in front of goal during their relegation to the fourth tier, and have already signed Mo Faal and Oliver Lynch, brought in on loan from Wrexham and Luton Town respectively.
The Valiants travel to Swindon Town in League Two action tonight, still looking to claim their first league win of the season after two draws and an opening day loss against Oldham Athletic.
Is Vale The Right Move For Figueroa?
Keyrol Figueroa has been a star in the making at Liverpool in recent seasons, but is now in need of some senior experience ahead of progressing further in his career.
The 20-year-old is now set to head to Port Vale, with the intention to give him some regular senior experience, something he has never been able to gain as of yet, with players like Jayden Danns ahead of him in the pecking order.
However, with plenty of options to battle against to get into the Valiants first team, the Honduras international will need to prove himself to be better than players like Mo Faal, Tyreece Simpson and Ben Waine.
A first-team place is up for grabs though, with no striker able to truly claim a regular place, and if Figueroa can come in and hit the ground running, it will not be long before he becomes Jon Brady’s preferred choice.
