Lincoln City head coach Michael Skubala has provided the latest injury news on Jack Moylan, after he was withdrawn against Blackpool last Saturday.
The Republic of Irishman has nine goal contributions in as many matches, but picked up a knock against the Tangerines, significantly reducing his chances of facing League One leaders Cardiff City this weekend.

You have to go back to August to find the last time that Moylan started an Imps defeat, coming in their second match of the season at AFC Wimbledon. An ankle injury, which required surgery, ruled him out in their very next game at Harrogate Town and proved to be a fairly substantial loss.
But since returning to the starting XI against Port Vale at the end of November, Lincoln have barely put a foot wrong. He excelled after two substitute appearances at the start of 2026, scoring both goals to see off Burton Albion. Moylan has since helped City record wins over Bradford City, Wigan Athletic and Northampton Town, before providing an assist at Mansfield Town a fortnight ago.
Speaking in his pre-match press conference ahead of facing the Bluebirds, Skubala was coy about the availability of the 24-year-old.
“Yeah, he’s [Moylan] not trained fully this week so it’s probably going to be a late one to see how he how he goes. It’s a dead leg but these can take a bit of time sometimes. So we’ll see if he manages to make the squad for Saturday but we’re not sure yet.
“He’s in unbelievable form. We don’t want to lose him for the rest of the season by getting him back too early. So, we’re hoping he can play some part on Saturday, whether that’s starting or coming off the bench. That would be a bonus for us.
“If Jack doesn’t make Saturday he’ll make Tuesday [against Exeter City]. So we’re more confident on that. We’ve got to just nurse him through the next 48 hours to 72 hours.”
Players Stepping Up Elsewhere
Skubala didn’t explicitly state this during his pre-match presser, but reading between the lines, it looks like Freddie Draper is set for an extended period on the sidelines. With Lincoln missing two of their best attacking players heading to the home of the league leaders, you could be forgiven for thinking their task of taking anything from the game has increased tenfold.
But Rob Street, while not always in terms of goals, has stepped up to the task at hand. Reeco Hackett remains one of the form players in League One. With 14 goal contributions in his last 16 matches, Cardiff will be acutely aware of the threat he poses off the wing. Ryan Oné is averaging a goal every 40 minutes, with three strikes in five matches since joining on loan from Sheffield United.
Dom Jefferies and Alfie Lloyd have also been impressive off the bench in recent times, which will give Imps fans confidence that they can continue their fine season in South Wales this weekend.
