Newcastle United missed out on the signing of Benjamin Sesko to Manchester United. However, they could be set to miss out on another Premier League target as Everton see a bid rejected.
Eddie Howe’s side have had a disastrous transfer window. Despite having the funds to compete with some of the biggest in the division, they are struggling to sign anyone.
They have already missed out on Benjamin Sesko, Bryan Mbeumo , James Trafford, Ekitike, Liam Delap and many more.
This morning they were linked to Aston Villa captain John McGinn but could fail to land their target again.

Newcastle United Fail to Land Transfer Again – Aston Villa Reject Everton bid for John McGinn
Newcastle United had been hopeful of moving swiftly to add Premier League experience to their midfielder. John McGinn was linked by Sky Sports but it has been made clear that the player is not for sale.
Everton tried their luck earlier today with an £18m bid but saw it rejected outright. Reports have since claimed that Aston Villa have indicated that the captain is not for sale.

Embarrassing for Eddie Howe’s Side
Newcastle want to be one of the big boys in the Premier League again, with Champions League football guaranteed and the funds it should be easy. However, they have seen every attempt fail, which begs the question as to what the club are doing.
It could be argued that the players the club are pursuing are the wrong profile. However, the biggest clubs are snapping them up. Time and time again the players are rejecting the chance to link up with Eddie Howe’s squad.
Newcastle may have to box clever, and pick up players that the bigger clubs are not trying to sign. Whilst this won’t bring them level as quickly, it will give them time to build. The Magpies are doing well, but it is clear they are not there just yet.
