Arsenal face competition from Aston Villa and Lazio for the signing of an 18-year-old from Leicester City.

The Gunners have already failed in one pursuit of a Leicester City youngster. They were in the chase for Jeremy Monga, but the 17-year-old opted to join Manchester City, bringing in £10million for the Foxes.

While they lost out on Monga, the Premier League champions are hoping to win the race for the next Leicester City starlet, Lorenz Hutchinson. However, they will once again face competition for a young Leicester talent.

Arsenal, Aston Villa, and Lazio Want Leicester City’s Lorenz Hutchinson

Football Insider have reported that Premier League sides Arsenal and Aston Villa have registered an interest in 18-year-old Hutchinson.

It’s been suggested that Leicester will listen to offers for the young winger before the end of the window. No potential fee has been noted, but the player is out of contract next summer, which means a deal could be relatively cheap.

Hutchinson doesn’t just have interest from England, though. Italian side Lazio have enquired about the youngster and could be a potential home for him in the near future.

One for the Future?

Hutchinson hasn’t played a senior game for Leicester City, but his performances at youth level have done enough to attract interest from elite teams across Europe.

The 18-year-old had a real impact in the U18 Premier League last campaign. Hutchinson scored 15 goals in 15, while also registering five assists.

He then made the step up to the Premier League 2, Division 1 after catching the eye at U18 level. The winger went on to make 12 appearances, scoring four and picking up two assists for the Leicester City U21 side.

His performances at youth level suggest he is a real talent, but with no senior experience it’s a risk. If a deal is cheap, given that he’s in the last year of his contract, it’s a risk that could pay off for whoever signs Hutchinson.
